Galaxy® DA2PPv Pharmaceutical Name Canine Distemper-Adenovirus Type 2-Parainfluenza-Parvovirus Vaccine, Modified Live Virus Features and Benefits High antigenic mass (titer), low passage parvovirus vaccine. Canine vaccine containing parvovirus type 2b, the most prevalent field strain of parvovirus. Canine parvovirus type 2b protects against all fields strains curremtly seen. Overrides maternal antibodies in young puppies. Primary vaccination may begin as early as 6 weeks. Last dose may be given at 12 weeks of age. No reversion to virulence. Onderstepoort-type distemper strain, proven efficacious for over 50 years. Indications For the vaccination of healthy dogs against canine distemper, adenovirus type 2, hepatitis, parainfluenza and parvovirus Dosage and Administration: Inject one dose (1 mL) subcutaneously or intramuscularly. The initial dose may be given at 6 weeks of age or older. Repeat at 2 to 4 week intervals until the dog is 12 weeks of age. A minimum of two doses is required for primary immunization. Annual revaccination with one dose is recommended. Transfer contents of the sterile diluent vial to the GALAXY® DA2PPv vial aseptically. Mix gently until dissolved.
